Rye 14, Pearl River 7

At Pearl River, No. 3-seeded Rye scored all its points in the second quarter en route to a victory over the No. 2-seeded Pirates. The Garnets (5-3), who have now won five straight since starting the season 0-3, will play the winner of No. 1 John Jay-CR and No. 4 Somers in the semifinals on Tuesday, November 1. On a waterlogged grass surface, Rye leaned on its physicality in the trenches, scoring both its touchdowns on runs inside the red zone. Jimmy Dugan got the Garnets on the board with 7:29 left in the second quarter on a bruising 10-yard run. Freshman quarterback Andrew Livingston doubled the lead roughly three minutes later, sneaking in from the 1/2-yard line. Teammate Andrew Hudson setup the touchdown, returning an interception down to the Pearl River (6-2) 1-yard line. The Pirates' lone touchdown came with 36 left in regulation, as Chris Van Houten connected with Sean Wilson on a 21-yard strike. But the Garnets recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal it.
