Rye vs Lakeland Prediction (Lohud)

Posted Wednesday, October 19, 2011 by LHud Staff
Lakeland (4-2) at Rye (3-3), 7 p.m.: Even off three straight wins, including an impressive win over rival Harrison, Rye would still need to beat Lakeland to give itself a chance at the playoffs. The Hornets have played well since their opening loss to Harrison, with Dan Eremita proving he’s one of the more underrated skill players in the area. Rye proved last year it can lose steam in the aftermath of a big victory over Harrison, but don’t expect that to happen here. The Garnets still have plenty to motivate them and should exit Rivalry Week without so many injuries. PREDICTION: Rye 27, Lakeland 14
