Kevin Devaney Lohud pre season rankings

Rye is also ranked 10th among "BIG SCHOOLS" in Section One
(see remarks below)

10. Rye: Two coaches — yes, two —  sitting up in the stands at the Somers scrimmage said “Rye was the best team there.” I’ll start the Garnets out at 10 and see where it goes.
On the brink: Nyack; Mount St. Michael; John Jay; John Jay-EF; Yorktown; Ramapo.

Small-school rankings
1. Rye: To go to that Somers scrimmage and overpower Class AA and A teams is unbelievable.
2. Dobbs Ferry: The beat goes on. A lot of new faces but I’m expecting mainly the same results.
3. Rye Country Day: Chris Kim is a name to learn. He’s going to prevent defenses from keying on Nick McKoy.
4. Pleasantville: Good showing at its own scrimmage. Don’t judge the Panthers by Saturday’s game with Rye. The pieces are there to make a nice run into the postseason.
5. Byram Hills: Like what I’ve heard so far. But I think this fifth spot is going to be a tough to pick all year.

Class B
1. Rye
2. Pleasantville
3. Byram Hills
4. Nanuet
5. Putnam Valley
