Devaney's Prediction for Saturday

Posted Wednesday, September 26, 2007 by Dino Garr
Copied directly from Kevin Devaney's blog (there are no comments yet, but they should be coming fast and furious before too long!):

Rye 35, Harrison 34, OT:

There's never been overtime in this rivalry before, so why not now? Harrison to me has a little more talent. But from what I saw with Rye in its win over Sleepy Hollow last week, it's just a better team. The Garnets complement in each other so well, especially on defense, and have so much momentum off the victory. Rye's won four in a row in this series. This might be a new Rye team in personnel, but in terms of swagger and confidence, it's right in line with the rest. As you can tell by the score, I don't anticipate either defenses making many stops. I just feel that since neither team is all that big up from, they'll each be able to move the ball.

What leads me to make this pick is exactly what I said last year: Just a gut feeling

The photo was taken during the National Anthem at the 1986 Harrison Game:
Rye won 15-12!
